Somehow, I expected amazo to find ourselves in a very dynamic and modern city. I was a huge surprise when it turned amazo out that we are one of the most peaceful and safe places of the world. Starting from the port, on the road to the city center we passed one of the wealthiest suburbs. There was the President's House, which ... no security, amazo no flashy cars and cameras and the tour guide told us that he often goes even walk to work Overall amazo Uruguay is actually a very different place.
With a total population of about 3 million, with 1.5 million live in the capital and the rest are scattered throughout the rest of the country, mainly in various ranches raising livestock. There is a sort of early socialism here - peaceful, calm, quiet, most of the museums amazo are public and therefore free as input even for tourists. Local entitled to use the library, which is located at the Houses of Parliament, which means that they have free access inside. Very good social program on health care, free education ... Tourism amazo is yet emerging there, but at the expense of many Europeans, retirement go there, buy a house somewhere on the coast and remain calm to make retirement. One of the famous amazo resorts is Punta del Este, but again favored by tourists over middle age. A place where time has stopped, at least in terms of the asylum accompanying everywhere so.
