50 Years of Movies A Fracture / Fracture
Annotation in 2007 with addition in 2008: Here is a good thriller. First great quality: although made in 2007, does not follow any of the two recent damnations of American cinema - a mania for complicating what could be simple and the habit of making everything seem a videoclip, aceleradinho, aceleradinho.
Second great quality: it is a very clever plot. Ted Crawford, the character of Anthony Hopkins, is a billionaire genius intellect that plans and executes rigorous amazo mastery with the attempted murder of the woman who betrays a lieutenant with the LAPD. The basis of the plan is to simply make your own confession (made to own wife's lover) invalid before the jury - and leave no material evidence crime.
Much of the quality of the whole plot comes from the clash between the billionaire and the assistant DA who takes the case, Willy Beachum. This promoter (done by a kid I was unaware, Ryan Gosling) is a young brilhantíssimo, of very humble origin and extreme ambition, which is at the exact time of about to leave public employment action to go to a billion dollar law firm.
This director Gregory Hoblit began his career in television, producing and directing episodes of series on crime and justice. Domina well this thing has great allure, movies on court. His first feature film was a great film that begins with the murder of an important bishop of Boston, The Two Faces of One Crime / Primal Fear, 1996, with Richard Gere and Edward Norton.

I saw the movie and liked it also. But something caught my attention ... notice the subtle resemblance of the film's story with the fantastic story of OJ Simpson. This, everyone knows who killed his wife - probably because of treason - was acquitted by improper evidence (in the movie the murder weapon is everything) and then inda wanted to tell a book as would have been the crime "if he had committed ". amazo And tell all ... as in ... amazing movie. Who did it, thought about it for sure. The film is just brilliant. Your site also ... I'm watching amazo ... and watching movies as hell. What !!! art
In fact, Heringer has everything to do with the story of OJ Simpson. I really appreciate you sending your comment, because I had not noticed amazo this similarity. Now that you pointed out, is really obvious. Thank you, and always comment!
The plot is very good, I like movies of court but found the movie kind of boring, too stopped. Missed a bit of action, rs. I like Anthony Hopkins tb but I thought he was boring. Incidentally, this film follows the same rhythm of The Two Faces of a Murder, which I thought was kind tb dragged. Gives me the impression that the stories are good, the final surprise, but the guy does not know to count them.
