Tonight we had church service missionary sending church in the city of Curitiba. There was a strong witness that a Brazilian church talks about Norway as a mission field and now sends out a young couple as missionaries to Oslo. But before we got as far as the transmission, something unexpected happened in worship that touched us all. During the hymn came into a colored man from the street. pvr goregaon He was probably a bit drunk, but behaved quiet. Gently he went up the aisle to the altar and stood right in front of the worship team. There he was under more songs until he saw fit to sit down at one of the premier pews. Meeting pvr goregaon came with and was probably pvr goregaon a little more excited about how the situation would develop. The last hymn had a wonderful text that is all that we direct all our thanks and praise to the only one who is worthy to receive, namely, our heavenly King. We honor the name of Jesus and surrender at His feet, we give ourselves completely pvr goregaon over to him who is our Lord and God. The song made distinct impression on our colored pvr goregaon guest who again went out into the aisles and now knelt front of the altar. So he lay there for a while, until a girl in the church also came and knelt by his side. Hymn ended and the priest went up to the microphone. He said briefly that God speaks to us and touches us in different ways, and sometimes he surprises us with his presence and his leadership. Worship Team was invited to sing the last song again and the congregation was invited to come forward to the altar. Everyone who knew the need to surrender their lives to Jesus and seek solace and refuge pvr goregaon by the cross, could arrive. Rarely have I seen such a response, people flocked! The priest reached barely finish the sentence before old and young began to walk forward in the church, it was fully before the altar and it was fully down the aisle. People pvr goregaon knelt and laid in silence before God that each had at heart. It was a special experience. Tears flowed among many. God knows what we need and ability to reach directly into our life, and sometimes he uses a passing homeless man to lead the way. So good it was to discern outliers humble encounter with a heavenly and merciful Father, and well it was for us all to put our usual pattern slightly to the side and get kneel at Jesus' feet. It was a sacred moment. pvr goregaon The last thing that happened in the service was broadcast by Maicon and Carol. The entire worship service focused on mission and Maicon father preached from the parable of the prodigal son. A phrase that I particularly noted was this: "We engage in mission to see God smile." God smiles when a bortkomment children repent and come home again. He stands with open arms and is delighted to see the baby coming. Mission is about helping people to find their way back to the Father; mission is about seeing our Heavenly Father pvr goregaon smile. Jesus Church worldwide has received a mission assignment. Maicon said it in a nice way - "we are as a church traveling to Norway to take part in God's mission pvr goregaon there, we have received and accepted the call, it is the center of the church in Curitiba pvr goregaon stretching his arm out a little bit longer so that it reaches all the way to Norway and to the people of the city of Oslo. " I think it is time that we accept pvr goregaon missionaries from our sister churches in Norway. We are one church and one body and we have much to add, and learn from each other. On Wednesday traveling Maicon and Carol to Norway. They will stay in Oslo and work in the international church in Oslo + in a regular pvr goregaon Norwegian Lutheran church. Initially they travel for one year, but we pray and will strive to ensure that the time may be extended. I think it's great to hear two young Brazilians speak of Norway with so much care, love and concern. Maicon and Carol feels called by God to witness pvr goregaon to God's saving for the Norwegian people. They are willing to spend several years far away from home and families for help Norwegian prodigal sons and daughters will find their way to the Father. All thanks to God!
